Why Hemp?
We choose hemp because it is strong, warm, soft and breathable. Hemp is naturally resistant to mold and bacteria. It also helps block harmful UV and UVB rays. Hemp is not only a resilient fiber, it is a resilient plant as well. Hemp requires no pesticide or herbicide to proliferate, and uses less water than cotton. Hemp is frost tolerant and one of the most useful plants in the world. Used as fuel, in paper, paints and building supplies, hemp also happens to be one of the most nutritious seeds on earth. Hemp is a superior fiber to wear on your skin for your sake and earth’s sake!
Why Organic Cotton?
Conventional cotton uses 25% of the world’s pesticides (approximately 5 lbs per acre per year). This devastates our whole ecosystem! Our water and food supply are tainted with runoff while the people working with these crops are suffering from severe and chronic illnesses. We have a choice to quit supporting this detrimental process. By choosing organic cotton we support farmers who utilize balanced ecosystems, enhancing soil health and minimizing agricultural runoff. This is why we choose to use only organic cotton in our apparel.

What is Tencel? I get asked this question often because it is a fairly new fiber. More commonly known as lyocell, tencel is a cellulose based fiber derived naturally from wood pulp. So many factors make this fiber a treasure. Foremost is it's eco-friendly aspect which has earned Tencel many European Awards for the Environment and the European Eco Label. Tencel is an ecxeedingly strong fiber and with it's strength it carries a soft as silk texture. A special quality is that Tencel is ideal for any kind of wear whether it be active, professional or casual. With such a beautiful drape Tencel can be used for evening wear as well. Tencel is machine washable and color rich. If you are an environmentally conscious person, you can feel good about choosing Tencel.
